Scale-up: How to learn any skill in 5 days.
You are probably wondering if that headline was just a hook.
Well, it isn’t.
Not too long ago, I began to come across lots of bordering on how copywriting is the best skill anyone can learn at this age.
The high-income skill of the 21st century. That’s the tag line.
How you could make a lot of money writing copies that convert for business people.
Like you, I also want to have enough money to buy whatever I want.
I have dreams of going on vacation in Santorini and visit the best of places.
I want to travel the world.
Have an amazing family.
Live in a million-dollar mansion.
Give to good causes like the Gates Family.
I want to earn in six figures (That’s a common hook these people use)
Good for me that I am a content writer, gradually moving up the top list.
So I said to myself ‘This is a great skill to add to my skillset’. I am going to do something about it.
I spend a lot of time on Twitter, so these contents were always in my face.
It’s not their fault, the Twitter algorithm was tailoring contents based on my interests
At a rate of two tweets in a second, I was certain I was going to read something about copywriting
Whether it’s a course, a tip, or some opinion about how indispensable copywriting is in the digital marketing space.
To be frank, those contents got to me.
So, I started thinking hard about how to learn copywriting.
I couldn’t afford an online course at that moment. I had no access to a copywriting coach.
The closest I could get is to read their tweets or best case scenario, send them a direct message.
I was itching to get started. Those guys made me buy into their opinions.
And bam! The perfect idea popped into my head. YOUTUBE!
That’s right! I immediately opened my Youtube App and typed in the simplest query ever.
‘How to become a great copywriter’. Another one was ‘How to write copies that convert’
A lot of results came up.
The most interesting thing for me about learning on YouTube was the rich diversity of knowledge that you get.
If I had had a coach, I may probably not get the chance to learn from different perspectives.
But with YouTube, what you get is variety.
So in five days, with a budget that is all included in my data subscription, I learned the A-Z of copywriting.
A good foundation to build upon.
This is my story on copywriting.
For you, it could be Web design, cookery, interior decoration, digital marketing, baking, gardening, etc.
Anything at all. Anything as ridiculous as ‘How to become the President of the United States in six months’. Smiles
Someone somewhere has content on YouTube that you could use to better yourself.
So go over to YouTube and start learning your way up the ladder of expertise.
Depending on what you want to learn.
The time frame could be less than five days.
It could be more, but five days is the perfect minimum.
This doesn’t stop you from getting real mentorship from tutors. Get tutors to learn from.
What I am only promoting is a way to learn with fun and at a very low cost
